Oasis
o·a·sis (o-a'sis)
-A fertile or green spot in a desert or wasteland, made so by the presence of water.
This photo won me a Sony DPP-FP60 Digital Photo Printer at "Beginning Photography with Ron Yue © National Geographic Channel Asia" workshop. There was an outdoor shooting competition organized by Click Magazine. The topics were: Ancient Foundation, City Forest, Duck Season, Temple of Arts and Oasis.

These are taken at Klang's The Nine Emperor Gods Festival (Chinese: 九皇爺 pinyin:jiǔhuángyé, Hokkien (Min Nan): Kow Ong Yah, Cantonese: Kow Wong Yeh) is a Chinese festival to celebrate the return from heaven to earth of the Nine Emperor spirits, who are worshipped as one deity known as Ma Zu, Ma Tzu or Tian Hou (Chinese: 妈祖/天后), literally means Queen of Heaven who represent health, wealth and prosperity.
How much longer can this culture stand the test of time ? Mr Ong, the owner of this troupe from Muar told me. He is giving 3 to 5 years before we have to totally import opera actors from China or Taiwan for play here. Even now, Mr Ong have to enlist 2 actors from Taiwan..
